Survey: SHOH41

On a different issue, I'd like to know whether you think America does a good job investigating how and why people die. A cause of death is listed on all death certificates inthe United States. Give me your best guess on how often doctors and medical examiners find the true and correct reason why people die. Do they always find the correct cause of death, usually find it, only sometimes find it or never find the true cause of death?

Answers: ( respondents)
Always 8%
Usually 59%
Sometimes 28%
Rarely 5%
Never 1%
Don't know 4%

NOTE: The number of respondents to an individual question may vary from the number of respondents to the entire survey, as some items are restricted based on previous answers. The poll has an overall 4 percentage point margin of error, although the margin increases when examining attitudes among smaller groups within the survey. The margin for women only, for example, is 6 percent.
