DESCRIPTION: Respondents were asked if thy thought Americans would accept a presidential candidate who was black, a woman, wealthy, has used marijuana and cocaine, smokes tobacco, is 72 years old, has lived in Washington more than 20 years, has not no government experience, adopted a black child or voted for the Iraq war. Respondents overwhelmingly thought wealthy person would be accepted, but other items tended to be negative. Respondents were asked how much math, science and foreign language they took in high school, whether they wished they had taken more and whether or not they found what they learned in these subjects useful in their lives.
